Smoothies can be healthy and delicious!

Berries are high in nutrition, taste amazing, and are low in calories.

Avocados have an extensive nutrient profile, like healthy fats and fiber. They may lack a bit of sweetness, but many people prefer this healthy option.

Green-leafy vegetables are packed with nutrition and fiber too. Options like kale and spinach are great additions for smoothies. Keep in mind that kale can dull your blender blades faster so it may help to change it up with spinach.

You can make your smoothie an even healthier option with chia seeds or flaxseeds for a great source of protein, omega3s, and additional fiber.

Smoothie Recipe:

  • 2 ice cubes
  • 1 cup of spinach or kale
  • 1/2 a medium avocado
  • 1 cup of mixed berries (frozen berries blend better if thawed first)
  • 2 tablespoons of flaxseeds or chia seeds
  • 1 - 2 cups of water to your preference

Blend them together for this amazing smoothie! Remember, if your first one doesn't result in the perfect texture and taste. Try again.
